... Today's most popular, more amusing, news

Snow is still on the agenda, but at last- slightly more varied and interesting additions to the BBC's land of news... here's 2 of my faves that are proving most popular at this very minute:

*Donor kidney removed via vagina*

This made me feel ever so slightly sicky at first. Then i read further and discovered that surgeons have also removed other organs through peoples' mouths. EWWWW! The pluses to these kinds of 'natural orifice' extractions is obvious the lack of scarring/cutting/blood/pain, but still! I guess 'birthing' a donor kidney could soon become akin to being a surrogate mother in this sense. Strange indeed... ;)

*Thatcher barred from top BBC show*

Ha brilliant, first Charles and Harry, now Maggie's daughter are mounting the old racist horse. Carol T was heard backstage at the Beeb calling a tennis player a "golliwog." Her spokesperson has referred to the BBC as having 'more leaks than Thames Water.' Well how about telling Miss T not to be inappropriate in a bloody media centre. Did she not think someone would hear and report on it. Foolish. I've learnt to think before I speak, maybe in an almost paranoid sense at times, those in the public eye should maybe try a little harder.

On a side note, i visited York last week for the first time in my adult life, and was shocked at how many golliwog toys/memorabilia was in loads of wee tourist shop windows. 'Visit York, where Racism sells. Literally.'
