I. AM. BORED.
This is my very last 'free' summer. I finished my job as student 'Welfare Officer' at Leeds Uni Union at the end of June. I have since popped to Magaluf for some hijinks, raved at T in the Park, visited my new job for drinkies in London town, reminisced in Leeds avec some partying, and I'm set to hit Wickerman this weekend. To some that may sound pretty busy, but to me, my life is still lacking in a little something...
Until September I am jobless..... May sound like heaven to some people but I'm the kinda gal who likes to keep uber busy, like tiring-ly busy. In between my weekend antics I am sat back home in Glasgow, in a house I havent spent more than 2 weeks in over the last 4 years, looking for excitement.
I really wish I could go travelling during this, my last few weeks of freedom, but sadly I am lacking the resources for such a venture. Neither me, nor my close friends, can afford to bugger off abroad for more than a weekend and this really upsets me. I feel like i should therefore do something worthwhile in the meantime, hence restarting this blog.
I have totally worked my ass off since starting this blog, and as a result, blagged a spot on my dream grad scheme at an integrated marketing comms agency- Iris. I want to refresh myself before i start, getting back into the swing of all the computer programs i was once a mistress of during my Uni course (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Flash.) I also want to work on completing a bunch of old D&AD briefs, getting my creative cogs in gear. I have already updated my online porfolio tonight, but it needs more work, and I've spring cleaned all of my online bios too. So the blog is the last piece in the jigsaw of my online self. So here it is!
Here's hoping by the time i start at Iris my creative sparkle is refreshed & my online self is buzzing and exciting... Wish me luck!
